New Updates

NOLANS Finish Location

The finish line for NOLANS will be Kominka Kotonoha, a traditional Japanese house in Myohoji.

Last time NOLANS was for women only, but from this year men and children (up to high school age) are also welcome.

Children's entry fee is 3,000 JPY, including lunch and a drink.

Rules

Anything without an engine is allowed.

Run, hike, MTB, horse, miniature pony, wingsuit, glider, skateboard… whatever you like. The first person to finish the Mt. Rokko Traverse wins.

  • Don't die.
  • Don't complain too much.
  • Don't leave any food or alcohol at aid stations.
  • Don't bother other people.
  • There are no course markings or course marshals. If you are likely to get lost, bring a map and/or GPS and be prepared to navigate on your own.
  • Participate at your own risk. You must be capable of avoiding risks and dealing with injuries or accidents by yourself.
  • If you are looking for a boyfriend or girlfriend, you are allowed to write "Looking!" on your bib with a marker.
  • By participating, you agree to the waiver and disclaimer.
  • There is no baggage storage. Carry all your belongings yourself.
  • Take all of your trash home.
  • Please bring your own cup.
  • Aid stations operate on a donation basis ("Tip Jar System").
  • Please participate in a cleanup activity after the race. It doesn't have to be on Mt. Rokko.
  • Do not climb Mt. Takatori. Follow the Cannonball Run original bypass route.
  • When passing hikers, uphill traffic has priority. Stop or slow down and give way.
  • On roads, do not spread out. Leave enough space for cars to pass.
  • The Takarazuka finish area closes at 7:00 PM.
  • For NIGHT SPEED participants, the finish time limit is 8:00 AM, when SPEED starts.
  • This is not an official cut-off, but please pass Garden Terrace by 4:00 PM on Sunday. After that, if you continue to Takarazuka, remove your bib and proceed as a regular hiker.
  • Children accompanying participants (up to high school age) can participate free of charge.
